FALL TRENDS

hey hey hey friends! hope you are all having a great September so far!

I cannot believe we are already half way through the month. it so crazy to say but I am already thinking of all the holiday things. trying to be better at being in the moment but just want to make sure I’m prepared. any who, I want to share a quick little blog post of fall trends, a few newer ones this season and some that are comebacks from last year. I love all these trends and excited about trying out some new ones! I am doing my best to not shop too much in preparation for the holidays and mainly because I put together a fall capsule wardrobe that I am excited about + its the kinda of pieces and styles I love to wear most of the time. if you missed my FALL CAPSULE WARDROBE post, check it out HERE!

these three trends that I have been seeing so much of lately have me excited for fall and to try new pieces. I will say that I have already tried the chunky lug sole Chelsea boots – I styled them last month on my Instagram, which you can check out HERE! I was a little unsure about the sweater vest because I didn’t think I could pull it off, but I purchased a few different ones to try and I already have a handful of looks planned that I cannot wait to share over on my instagram. lastly the pleated plaid mini – I was going back and froth with this piece.. couldn’t decided how I felt about it and if it is worth styling, but after seeing it so many times and putting some outfit ideas together, I’m sold. major AS IF clueless vibes, but love that you can totally change it up with an edgy boot or keep it easy and classy with a platform sneaker.

three trends that made a come back this season are the SHACKET or SHIRT JACKET ( I know so many people dislike the word Shacket, not sure why it bothers them so much ), the quilted jacket and the combat boot. the combat boots might’ve been on trend for more than a year or so, but I felt they were super popular last fall and winter, and I’m seeing them again a bunch this season and while I love the look and how I’ve seen them styled ( I even styled a white pair last year ), I just feel like they don’t look great on me, not that flattering on me, but loving the off-white, cream pairs. BUT I am obsessed with the SHACKET, I LOVED them last year and I am so so happy they’re still on trend (honestly, if they weren’t, I’d probably still wear them); they are a nice addition to any casual fall look. The quilted jacket was super popular last year, especially the one I pictured from Free People, there are a bunch of more affordable dupes out there, and I am excited to wear mine more this season.
