After the my friend's bridal shower, my hubby and I decided to stay in the city and enjoy the weekend together! I forgot to mention in my last post that my hubby and I drove up to the Bay Area because I had waaaaaaay to much stuff for the shower to fly with, so we made a weekend out of it. I thought I'd share some random pics from our weekend!
The hubby and I spent a day and a half in the city..we stayed at cool hotel in the financial district, which was super close to union square, all the shops, and cute restaurants. We enjoyed a really yummy southern style/new american food at Hope & Hominy for dinner our first night -- so good. We also decided to wait in line for breakfast on Sunday morning for over an hour to enjoy Mama's in Washington Square -- and OH MY IT WAS WORTH IT!!! If you are ever in San Francisco I would definitely recommend Mama's. The breakfast was so delicious! My favorite item we ordered was their "our famous" monte cristo with their homemade strawberry jam. I am drooling just thinking about it right now! I cannot wait to go back and eat there again!!!
It was so nice to spend the weekend with my hubby in the city and just walk around, eat and shop. I can't wait til our next weekend getaway! Maybe a tropical weekend getaway next time :)

Celebrated my very good friend, Gigi, this past Saturday with a lovely bridal shower in Napa. I co-hosted this beautiful and girly affair with Gigi's mom. Let me tell you, being a MOH and planning events can be very tricky and stressful, especially when you're not in the same city. Living in SD, and planning her bridal shower in Napa, was kinda difficult and more work than I expected, but it was so worth it. All the guests had a wonderful time, and the bride-to-be was all smiles ! I just wanted to share some photos of all the decor I hand made and put together on Saturday morning. I wish I had more photos, but I was running around making sure everything was going well and every one was having a fabulous time. Not only was girl time, mimosas and the games a great time, but our dog of honor, Zeus (Gigi's baby) also stole the show..looking handsome in his cute scarf. Now all we need to worry about is the BIG DAY!!! I can't wait to watch Gigi tie knot in about a month!!

hello lovers ! I hope all of you had a beautful, lovely and fun Valentine's Day and weekend ! The hubby and I celebrated v-day and lots of love three days out of the week since I had to work a twelve hour shift on Valentine's Day. I've been so busy helping my hubby with setting up his boutique in downtown, along with coming up with fun, flirty and sassy ideas for my girls line of tees, tanks and accessories! I've shared a couple on my instagram (@sassandsun) and I hope to share more very soon so follow along! Not only have we been super busy with that, I've also been in a little bit of slump..and feeling tired a lot of the time lately..even with eight hours of sleep -- this is why I wanted to just share little tidbits of my life lately..the month or so in this cute little flipagram..scroll down a tad to get full pics :)
Hope everyone is having a nice week. xx

Hello dolls !! Just wanted to share a few photos from my quick trip to San Francisco this past weekend. I mainlywent to see one of my best friends, Gigi, and help her organize her plans for her wedding this May ! We still had a fabulous time -- lots of wedding talk, enjoying good food (super duper burgers, terzo, rose's cafe; palm house) in her neghborhood -- cow hollow/marina -- and taking a nice walk to crissy fields, palace of fine arts and view of the golden gate bridge. I brought the sunny, warm san diego weather with me because it was absolutely beautiful while I was visiting. Wishing we took more photos..especially of the colorful buildings..but I was trying to be in the moment.. my other really good friend, vanda, recently moved to the city, so we werwe able to spend time with her as well :)
hope y'all are having a nice start to your week !!

HELLLOOO!! Whoa it has been a while since I've blogged and I apologize for being MIA for so long, only excuse is I GOT MARRIED in November! The months leading up to the wedding went by so quickly and our actual wedding day was a blur -- a whilrwind! It went by so fast, the day was gone in a blink of an eye! It was such a beautiful and magical day! My hubby and I were so excited and so happy to share such a happy and loving day with all of our closest family and friends. It was absolutely perfect...a few little mishaps.. but overall I could not have asked for an even better day. Soooo I just want to share some of my favorite wedding pictures!!
Gosh! We have soooo many photos it was so difficult for me to choose...Enjoy! xx

Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Sean and Natalie Hennessy!! Yesterday we celebrated their love in a beautiful and rustic barn wedding in Nipomo, Ca. It was nice and intimate in the middle of no where pretty much -- perfect because you didn't hear people or cars from the street. All the decor was beautiful, rustic with just enough vintage feel. The ceremony was beautiful and not long -- short and sweet. We were all able to see the love and happiness shared between the couple and I am so happy I was able to share this special occasion with them.

my beach bag???
Happy Friday!! Summer official starts tomorrow and what better way to kick off another beautiful and warm summer season than with a beach day and peek inside my beach bag! I always have to make sure when I'm heading to the beach I have to tote along the necessities. I always bring a water bottle or two to keep myself hydrated, sunscreen for face and body (yes, I use sunscreen on my body haha), evian water mist to keep my face cool, coconut water mist to keep my strands hydrated too, lip balm and lip gloss -- no one likes red, burned and chapped lips. For fun, I have to have a few magazines because sitting at the beach all day is perfect not only to catch some rays, but to catch up on celebrity gossip. I also bring along my iPad for reading, and my fugifilm Polaroid camera to take some fun photos. It also doesn't hurt to have a snack at the beach. :)
Cheers to summer sunshine, palm trees, beach babes, bikinis, salty hair and sandy toes! I'm looking forward a happy, fabulous summer with long sunny days. Hope you enjoyed the little video -- I'm trying out something new.. wish I could fix the sizing..anywho..
What are your plans this summer?

Congratulations to my boo, Gigi and her fiancé, Noel on their engagement! We celebrated the couple yesterday in Rutherford at Gigi's beautiful grandparents house. It was such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple. I am honored to be Gigi's maid of honor and am so happy I was able to fly up and spend the weekend with her and her family and friends. It was such a great time and I am beyond happy for the couple! The couple also announced their wedding date during the wonderful lunch, so let's start planning! Haha. We were having way too much fun so I didn't get to take as many photos as I would have wanted but here are some I want to share! Cheers!

Introducing my little entertaining space, my idea of a bar cart, my little party table!
As I am getting older and entering adulthood and real life (whoa, crazy!), I have gained more and more interest in home decor and interior design. I've gotten to the point where I want to throw dinner parties with my fave couples, wine and cheese nights with my giirlfriends and trivia night with family. Well actutally, I have a lot more work to put in..the list is becoming pretty long, but I am very proud and excited about our dining room. I absolutely adore this little area in our dining room that I have created..made into a special entertaining bar cart I guess you could call it.
CHAMPAGNE is always the answer! #duh #obvi #myfave
I have seen so many bar carts and love how people style their carts, the drinks, coffee table books, flowers, candles, glassware, the list goes on and on. Of course I wanted a cool gold bar cart but I just felt it didn't make sense. FIrst off, my fiance doesn't drink alcohol at all, not even wine, I know, crazy weird, and I really only enjoy wine and champagne, but I still want to be a hostess!! We were walking around Crate & Barrel and found this awesome wood console table. It is the perfect size for our little dining room and boom, light bulb. I thought I could totally make it into our bar cart/entertaining space and waahhlaaa!!
I slowly started finding great table books, all from Anthropologie -- they always have a good collection of books. If you don't already know this, I will repeat it -- I LOVE GOLD..I am obsessed with all things gold. I found different coasters, glassware, and a bottle opener with gold accents and just had to make gold my theme. I keep the table pretty simple, sometimes adding some fresh flowers or small candles to set the mood. I always keep water and a pitcher on the table and some cool dessert plates. I am currently obsessed with La Marca white sparkling wine so I always have a bottle.
Home decor is always a work in progress and I am constantly thinking of new ways to spruce the place up. This has been one of my fave things to put together and it didn't even take up too much time and it was so much fun!
Hope you like it! Have a beautiful day and stay cool! xx
